Kim & Rene

A couple from The Hague who wanted to change course. René is purely from The Hague and Kim finds her roots in New Zealand. In Abruzzo, Kim rediscovers her childhood - snowy peaks and sea at a glance. And that with a sauce of delicious food deglazed with good wine. Just like in New Zealand, the sheep has a prominent place in Abruzzo's life. Delicious dishes are made from it (try the tasty arrosticini - mutton skewers), cheese is made from the milk (Pecorino) and there is even a white wine grape named after the sheep, the Pecorino. And let Schaap (=sheep) also happen to be Kim's last name and her favorite color pink. After painting their building pink, the name of their B&B was quickly found - La Pecora Rosa = The Pink Sheep. With her creativity and talent to breathe new life into old things, Kim takes care of the interior.

But who is the driving force behind this adventure, that is definitely René. No challenge is too great for him. A house that has not been inhabited for 10 years, the roof of which leaked and all but all the pipes had to be replaced gives him energy. If Kim wants the layout a little different, he will make sure it is in order, safe, complete and finished to perfection. Swimming pool in the garden that is one level lower and that you cannot reach with the excavator? René solves it and in the meantime makes a study of all types of swimming pool techniques so that he can build the technology himself.

This way they complement each other perfectly and they start the adventure in a new country with élan!
